Ed Meanwell BSc MBA CPhys

Ed is director and co-founder of Goose Marketing Ltd. He began his career as a trained and published Medical Physicist, but later opted for a more commercial role within the private sector. He has gained over 10 years successful blue chip sales and marketing experience with Pall Gelman and then GE Medical Systems, selling FMCG and capital equipment to the life science and healthcare sectors respectively. His business acumen was proven when he earned "Salesman of the Year" award for three consecutive years whilst at Pall Gelman. Taking the opportunity to complete a full-time Durham University MBA, through his dissertation he was able to study venture capital backed start-up companies specifically to address the question: Venture capital friend or foe? On completion, he sought to work in the start-up community and therefore took up a business development role with a venture-backed Cambridge company supplying a web-based networking concept. From there he moved to be the UK Sales Manager with a US start-up supplying outsoursed research informatics for drug discovery. Ed’s corporate experience, combined with an insight into small companies, brings to Goose Marketing the vision and ability to see companies grow through successful sales and marketing.
